I CONTRADICT WITH THE WRITER, BUT AGREES WITH THE THEORY BASED ON PERSONAL EXPERIENCES OF THE GENERAL SAHIB.

But here, I want to clarify that women of the poor and lower middle classes may be excluded from the theory of General Musharraf. These women only need respect and do not want visa and citizeships of canada, America

But for the upper class and upper middle class to which the Geneals belong, I have no reasons to contradict with the above mentioned theory.

General yehyeha ZINDABAD, Qaumi Trana Zindabad, Pakistan Paindabad.

Pushtoon Bhai, Musharraf does not have to be drunk to be disrespectful to the womenfolk of Pakistan. His ethnicity compels him to be hateful for the indigenous. Remember he is Altaf Bhai's follower.

Apologize, most definitely yes.

President Musharraff's redemption lies in ensuring:
1.The criminals and their abettors in the case of Mukhtaran Mai, Dr. Shazia and Ms. Sonia Naz after quick and fair trials be given exsamplary punishment in public, which should include "Chopping off" their.....!

2. This should be the minimum punishment plus a lenghthy jail sentence for all rapists by Law in future, I am sure no person would mind even a constitutional ammendment for this henious babarism against women.

3. The army Capt (Dr.Shazia's case) should be shot in public by other army officers firing squad.

I can assure the President of Pakistan that if he takes these measures ASAP - his name will go down in history as a saviour of womens honor.

Respectfuly submitted

now u r talking Fummo miaN -- 'if he takes these measures' -- that 'if' is a big Ten Feet too tall an IF -- for your Balishtiya Dictator....to climb.

....more likely right now his name will go down in history as THE Purveyor of Women's Dishonor....

and btw -- conviction and swift severe punishment -- thru due process of law -- is the proper course to combat crimes against Women in a law abiding Pakistan...NOT firing squad.

It is a shame for the entire nation for what has happened to Sonia.W e all are to be blamed. No one has got up in support of the lady.I do not know what face we would show to Almighty.I have no comment to make on the statement of Gen.Musharraf.If he has said what has been reported than a mere apology is insuficient.
As regards Sonia s husband act of divorcing her wife, all I can add is that Sonia should have divorced him.He is not worth living with.It was his responsibility to look after the welfare of his family, which he faied. It was Sonia who saved his life and fought for him and the family.

Apology? Oh yes... As he says he is a soldier and knows how to fight (specially unnarmed women and powerless political leaders), implying that apolgy, or an such civilised idea never passes through his head. He only knows the language of force.
It is crucial time for we Pakistanis. With all our weeknesses, and unstable political system we never have been something like Hosni Mobarak's Egypt, Saudi Arabia or Saddam's Irak. Or even Suharto's Indonesia. Any one who tried to become Hosni Mubarak of Pakistan was perished within 10/11 years.
And now we have this man who has systemetically destroyed every institution in Pakistan in last seven years. He says that he 'll remain army chief beyond 2007.
It is really high time for all of us Pakistanis, to think if we want this "Mobarakisation" of Pakistan to reach its logical end or stand up for whatever rule of law is left there.

Mian Farouk Khan #7,

Very interesting post: "Chopping off" their.....!

Do u really believe that is the answer? That takes you back to stone ages. Like in Mukhtaran Mai’s case I believe the major problem is parallel justice system by panchayat. I believe the basic justice system needsa reform in Pakistan, where iin future this is not allowed. The constitution is supreme not human beings. You most probably read in UP a daughter-in-law was raped by her father-in-law and then there was a fatwa issued against the lady. There was an uproar of parallel justice system and Muslim board of India came out against the Fatwa. In another case; in Rajasthan where another Panchayat issued a similar verdict, I believe in this case it was a Hindu girl, the whole Panchayat was arrested as co-conspirators and prosecuted and given jail sentence with the culprit. The point here is not compare Islam vs Hinduism or India vs Pakistan. This happens all over the world, but law has to be clear. A head of the state can’t come to defense every time of culprit. Mush has a big problem; he always ends up on the wrong side. I think Chopping is not the answer, but protection by law and swift justice by law is the answer.

“The army Capt (Dr.Shazia's case) should be shot in public by other army officers firing squad”

Do you really think as long as Mush is there it can happen ever. It is a Fairy dream.

“I can assure the President of Pakistan that if he takes these measures ASAP - his name will go down in history as a saviour of womens honor. “

But the above line really brings out Mian Farouk’s real personality. The solution’s you are talking are not for women’s protection or two more people loosening their life, but how your personal hero will go down in history. Are u sure you are not Mush’s brother in Chicago? It is unbelievable an educated person is proposing a solution just for the sake of defending an ever erring head of state.
